Kinga Wojdalska is the first Polish prizewinner in the prestigious, Primrose International Viola Competition in the United States. In addition to winning the esteemed second prize, she was also awarded for her brilliant performance of her own transcription of Grazyna Bacewicz’s Polish Capriccio.

 

Wojdalska is a violist, performing as both a soloist and a chamber musician. In 2022, she made the European premiere of John Williams' Viola Concerto with the Dohnanyi Budafok Orchestra conducted by Gábor Hollerung.  She has been honoured with over 25 awards at national and international music competitions. Chamber music plays a pivotal role in her artistic career. Kinga is a co-founder of the ensemble Kameralna N-Harmonia and a founding member of the Veress Trio. Furthermore, she is regularly invited to prestigious festivals such as the Krzyżowa Music and Rome Chamber Music Festival.

Kinga is generously endorsed by the Thomastik-Infeld, and from the academic year 2025-2026, she is an adjunct professor of the BBVA Foundation Viola Chair at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía

 

Currently she plays a contemporary viola made by luthier Jerzy MaÅ›lanka.
